Chillicothe City Park comes alive with the Easter Egg Roundup. This tradition is led by Covered Wagon Crafts and the Chillicothe Historic Downtown Merchants with support from the Optimist Club of Chillicothe. The Roundup is divided into five large rings for ages 0-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9+. Over 9,000 eggs are filled with candy and toy surprises.
Community volunteers, Pearce Community Center and Optimist members work together to stuff eggs for the event.
The Christmas Toy drive is an amazing community wide event. The Optimist Club partners with Community Needs Agency to bring toys to those family in need. Large community donation containers are placed in key locations throughout the town. The toys are then collected and brought to Three Sisters for organization, sorting and finally bagging. The toys are distributed along with the Christmas Food baskets.
